Master Plan 2041 For Yamuna Expressway Areas Approved by Uttar Pradesh Government

The Yamuna Expressway region's Master Plan 2041 has been formally approved by the Uttar Pradesh government, which is a big step towards the area's overall development. YEIDA which stands for Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has proposed Master Plan 2041, which aims to promote development on the Yamuna Expressway and close vicinity. Also, the Noida International Airport settling in Jewar is expected to open for operations by April end of the year 2025, has been approved by the Uttar Pradesh government.

What Are The Key Features Of YEIDA Master Plan 2041?

More Insights On YEIDA Master Plan Approvals

Some concerns have been raised by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Town and Country Planning Department over the Urban Raya Centre, a key component of Master Plan 2041. Also, the changes to zoning rules and regulations were recommended by the UP government, concerning, among other things, data centers, green spaces, healthcare facilities, research facilities, transportation infrastructure, and flood zones around the Yamuna.

The Yeida board In January 2024 approved the master plan and sent it to the government for discussions and approval. But the government in July 2024 asked Yeida to make several changes in the master plan and then resend it for approval.

Yeida has also responded to criticism of the Urban Raya Center from the chief town and rural planning department. In the Raya Urban Centre, close to Mathura, a 753-acre Heritage City project is proposed. The first phase of the project is expected to cost almost around ₹7,200 crore. The authority will start developments in the areas of Raya of Mathura, Gautam Budh Nagar, and Bulandshahr as per the Master Plan 2041 that has been authorized.
